CD JUNKIE #216: JACKIE LEVEN (PART 2)

19-minute overview of Leven's studio albums from “Control” (as John St. Field) through the 1983/84 singles, Concrete Bulletproof Invisible (1988) and the Cooking Vinyl years to “Wayside Shrines” (2011), including the pseudonyms Sir Vincent Lone and Jackie Balfour; ends with a medley. Schnee above all praises the warmth, tenderness and variety of the late work and Leven's generosity in giving label colleagues room on his albums. Tone: fan homage.
