Jackie Leven - Spring: Man Bleeds In Glasgow/Greetings From Milford (Cooking Vinyl)

Review of the second double CD of the series: Man Bleeds in Glasgow (Water Rats, London, with the Celtic Soulmen Michael Cosgrave and Stephen Hannigan) and Greetings From Milford (Haunted Valley Christmas party with the Stornoway Girls at the British Legion Club, Milford). Davies stresses Leven's underrated humour and the cover versions (Dylan, Van Morrison “Madame George”, Bill Withers, Velvet Underground). Positive tenor (“a very good year for Leven fans”).
