Review taking up the album's ghost motif (warning notice in the inlay, collection of quotations in the booklet). Discussed are “Vox Humana”, “Another Man's Rain”, “I've Been Everywhere” as a tour of Germany with Johnny Dowd, Dowd's reading of Kenneth Patchen's “The Skaters”, the ode to Judee Sill and the Kevin Coyne homage “Here Come The Urban Ravens”; Leon Hunt (banjo) and Michael Cosgrave shape the sound. Verdict: well-disposed but undecided – some of it grips, some of it leaves one cold.
Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
