Three out of five stars. Smith begins with the confession that he long took Leven for a woman, compares the album's handling of ageing with Dylan's Modern Times and praises Johnny Dowd's contributions, which bring a “gothic”, American mood. He calls “Vox Humana” and “One Man One Guitar” masterpieces.
