Jackie Leven, Mutz – 20.06.2006 – Solingen, Steinenhaus (Cornish Pub)

Report on the concert at the Steinenhaus in Solingen (“Cornish Pub”, promoter Fritz Kappner) on the evening of the World Cup match England–Sweden; Leven greeted the audience with a Swedish flag on his amplifier. Michael Cosgrave played despite being ill. Leven promoted the Doll by Doll live CD “Revenge of Memory”, a bootleg of the 1983 album withheld by Virgin, and “Songs for Lonely Americans”, and told the story of Bob Dylan in the Moscow metro for “Moscow Train”. Overall tone: pleasant, but quieter and less inspired than usual; the stories more often fizzled out.
