On Mixcloud, Rob Ellen's “Medicine Show” appears as a tribute edition for Jackie Leven. In the description Ellen writes that he and the “late great” Leven travelled the Highlands many times; he still finds it hard to believe he will never see him again, but can now at least listen to his music without feeling too much pain and appreciate “just what a gigantic talent he was”. He sees his face and hears his songs in every place he visits around “this country of ours”, so it is overdue to play this show.

The show was first broadcast on 16 November 2011, in Ellen's words “the day after his death” (Leven died on 14 November), and features a concert recorded in Strathpeffer “almost exactly a year before and in much happier times”. It was broadcast from the Scottish Highlands on North Highland Radio, 2 Lochs Radio Gairloch and Lochbroom FM Ullapool, as well as on Celtic Music and Sunny Govan Radio in Glasgow, Sheppey FM in Kent and across the UK country music fraternity. The page gives no track list, and the content of the recording is not described.

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.

The late great Jackie Leven and I travelled the Highlands many times, I still find it hard to believe I’ll never see him again, but now at least I can listen to his music & not feel to much pain & can appreciate just what an gigantic talent he was.
