Fantastisk historieforteller

Positive short review of the concert at Dalane Brygghus during the Visefestivalen Egersund (early July 2009): Leven is a big man in more than one sense, whom life has knocked about; through his stories the audience took part in his life and cheered. He tells tall tales – for instance that he was thrown out of Alicia Keys's limousine, and that he finally wrote a hymn to Johnny Cash, whom he had hated for years – and talks about sex, booze and a long life in the music business. The songs are rough, about ravens and the theft of urban souls.
