Enthusiastic short review: never have Leven's interpretations been “so snotty, skewed, rough”; in the title track, sung by Johnny Dowd, Leven quotes Van Morrison's “Gloria”. Hübner praises a light-footed assurance like that of Tom Waits, the Go-Betweens or Lambchop. Rating: 4 (Westzeit scale, presumably out of 5).
Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
