Very positive review: the album breathes love for Cash and for the country-rock/Americana tradition, paired with “honest and austere Scottish lyricism”. Recorded in Beirut but with a Memphis feel; the title song is a gesture of thanks to Cash's producer Rick Rubin. As a poet Leven is more refined than Cash; the album shows a warm, still more melancholy side and sounds like a geographical round trip (Lebanon, Greece, USA, Northern Ireland, Wales, England) – neither a covers album nor a “world” record. Rating according to Dagsavisen of 23.09.2005: five (out of six).

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
