A belated review which explicitly does not consider the album a masterpiece, but an open, many-voiced mosaic: guest names and text sources from Robert Bly, Rilke, Ron Sexsmith, Cummings, David Thomas, Sitwell, Neruda, Mandelstam and Ciaran Carson. Discussed are “Classic Northern Diversions”, “Irresistible Romance”, “My Philosophy”, “Dust Elegy”/“Savannah Waltz”, “A Little Voice In Space”, “Heroin Dealer Blues” and “1798”. Overall tone: positive, “disco necessario”.

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.

È un disco necessario per motivi che esulano dal solito metro di giudizio.
