Carter recommends the low-priced four-CD box as the best introduction to Leven's “Celtic Soul” of folk, rock and poetry. The Wanderer is available regularly for the first time, supplemented by three bonus tracks (live recordings from Australia, Norway, Poland and Wales, among others); Control (recorded in 1971) shows a still unfinished voice – Leven himself attributes it to a phase of intensive LSD use. Singled out are the liner notes and “Working Alone / A Blessing” with the recitation of the James Wright poem.
