Preview of the concert on 06.09.2001 at Den Stundesløse, where Leven's own whisky can also be bought at the bar. Leven says he loves picturesque Bergen and its women; “Rainy Day Bergen Women” was hard to write, he wanted it to take off at the end, and the lyrical song gradually became a humorous one. Being compared with Van Morrison flatters him, even if Morrison no longer achieves anything at the level of Astral Weeks and Moondance, but has one of the best voices.

Personal matters, as his own account: he is better than ever, he has come to terms with the death of his father, with whom he reconciled towards the end of his life; he lives with a woman who teaches him to live in the now, and her son. In the 80s he was addicted to heroin and completely on the floor. Writing is often therapy for him; his songs are more descriptive than sentimental. He sees his soul as influenced by black masters such as Lightnin' Hopkins, Blind Lemon Jefferson and R. L. Burnside – the latter making his best records at over 70. For the concert the venue is launching “Leven's Lament”; the album received the top rating of 6 in BA.

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.

Jeg bruker ofte skrivingen som ren terapi.
