Short review of the CD edition of Control as a “funny curiosity” for the many who have meanwhile become attached to the Celtic soul of Leven and Doll by Doll. According to the article, the album was recorded “as early as 1966” by a young Scot on the run from the law; Leven writes in the booklet that he was completely on LSD at the time and that the record came out only briefly in Spain in 1973. One hears the same voice and the same soulful melodic construction, but not the great experience of the later albums. Also: in 1969 Leven boarded a ship to Bergen – his first trip abroad – hence his special relationship with Norway.

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
