Very positive review of the concert at Præstengbrygga, Kabelvåg, on Saturday (12.04.1997) before around 120 guests, of whom, by the author's estimate, only about 20 had known Leven beforehand. He began around 11 pm with a story about homesickness and building fences in the rain on a farm in the north of England, followed by “Farm Boy”; further songs included “Peace Comes Dropping Slow”. Self-mocking, at times bizarre stories – by his own account he had been a bastard – contrasted with deadly serious songs; guitar and shoe soles as rhythm. Two hours without an interval; Leven found many things in common with Scotland and promised to return soon.
Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
Hvis den vite mann ikke kan synge soul, er han like forbannet en stor artist.
