Kerr gives a very positive account of the first Cash Back In Fife weekend and describes a separate programme item in memory of Leven. Ian Rankin read lyrics and talked about his friend while Dean Owens accompanied him, improvising on acoustic guitar; the announced starting point “Elegy for Johnny Cash” led to a broader look back at Leven.
