Ian Rankin, Rebus and whisky

Whisky conversation with Rankin in which each dram is paired with a piece of music. With Laphroaig, Leven's Exit Wound is heard: if Rebus is not listening to John Martyn, he listens to Leven, and Fairy Tales for Hard Men is “that's Rebus”. Broom sums up that Leven got in touch after mentions on Rebus's playlist; stage shows and the CD Jackie Leven Said resulted. Rankin says Leven's manager cancelled a joint appointment, and three days later Leven was dead; Leven dealt with the diagnosis by going for a walk with a bottle of whisky.
