Around 35 genuine entries that reflect Leven's last year from a fan's perspective. In the first half of the year, declarations of devotion dominate (a fan from Leeds saw him in 1994 at the Duchess of York pub and remembers “Gylen Gylen”), along with questions about Australian tours and memories from old acquaintances: a Yorkshireman, now in Saigon, says he stayed overnight in the Doll by Doll flat in Maida Vale and arranged gigs for the band. In summer One Long Cold Morning is sent out by post; delivery to Germany takes a long time, and the old resentment about the never-delivered Cornish Pub CD flares up again. One guest announces a free concert on 12.08.2011 at Jolly's Bar, Kilmarnock; a Canadian is looking forward to the Halifax Urban Folk Festival (HUFF), a Swede to the Scandinavian tour in October.

From 10.09.2011 the tone changes: fans from Munich, Hamburg, Lauterbach, Bremen, the Netherlands and Münster write that Leven is in hospital and the entire 2011 German tour has been cancelled; a woman from Münster who had planned to go to the Hot Jazz Club on 22.09. had his CD played there instead. One fan wishes him to “get oot the hospital”, Norwegians still hope in October for the concert at Buddy in Drammen, a man from Burnley regrets the cancelled concert at the Trades Club (October), a Londoner asks for news on 04.10. On 14.11.2011, the day of his death, the first words of farewell appear.

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.

I have just learned that you are ill and that the entire German tour has been cancelled

Fan from Hamburg, 13.09.2011.
