The opening post pays tribute to Leven as a songwriter who encouraged other musicians to write themselves. More productive than the short announcement of his death is the comment thread: it shows several ways in which listeners discovered Leven. tincanman2010 expressly names the music references in Ian Rankin's Rebus novels. Others came to him through Doll by Doll or through the music selection of the Readers Recommend community.
notsosourpus reports on his contact via the songwriter Dan Britton and on talks about possible performances in Budapest. These did not come about; no tour date can therefore be inferred from them. An anonymously posted comment recalls Britton's participation in a Haunted Valley Christmas concert and makes the connection to “Greetings from Milford” and other live releases.
The thread also contains a reference to a planned Leven tribute on Johny Brown's “Mining for Gold” on Resonance FM the following Friday. That is a concrete lead for radio archives, but not yet proof of a broadcast. The page shows 22 comments or replies in all. As a source it documents the networking of the fan community; their memories and attributions of records are in each case statements by the users concerned.
Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
