Jackie Leven /w Michael Cosgrave: Live At The Rockpalast (DVD)

Enthusiastic review of the first regular live DVD (MIG, 25.04.2011): the Rockpalast performance at the Harmonie in Bonn in 2004 with Cosgrave and Kevin Foster, centred on three long songs from “Shining Brother Shining Sister”, with “Call Mother A Lonely Field” as the highlight. König describes the Celtic folk rock with melancholy, sarcasm and bawdy jokes, and jokingly mentions Leven's stage story that Sir Vincent Lone died in 2009 after a discussion about Wittgenstein and Kajagoogoo. The only drawback: a running time of 75 minutes. The comment thread contains memories from the editors Thoralf Koß (an hour's conversation with Leven) and König (two concerts), a reader's condolence of 15.11.2011 (“Jöhrschi”, 18 years of concert-going) and König's sharp criticism of the FAZ obituary of 17.11.2011.
