Jackie Balfour – Chip Pan Fire :: Leiser Folk und Hörbuch: zwei Pseudonym-Alben von Jackie Leven

Double review of the pseudonym albums: Sir Vincent Lone's second album “When the Bridegroom Comes (Songs for Women)” with quiet folk songs and cover versions (Jackson C. Frank, Judee Sill, Donovan, David Childers, Dan Britton) – a “cosy record for the congregation”; and the audiobook “Chip Pan Fire”, in which Leven as Jackie Balfour, junior reporter of the “Glenrodent Gazette”, describes Scottish small-town life, supplemented by three stage stories. Verdict: all the names add up to a whole after all – Leven the storyteller.
