Jackie Leven, Michael Weston King – 14.11.2007 – Köln, Kulturbunker Mülheim

Report on the Cologne concert with Michael Weston King as support (plus Markus Segschneider). Maurer relays Leven's steakhouse anecdote with the Willard Grant Conspiracy in Glasgow and stresses that Leven is a classic storyteller who refuses encore rituals. The show was especially personal: stories about women trouble, the attack and recovery, and a “Royal Lunch” with Lady Diana, for whom he had to sing “Main Travelled Roads” (self-report); Cosgrave has lately also played flute. Verdict: positive, without great revelations.
