Maurer explains the alter ego as Leven presents it at concerts: he had written more songs than the market could cope with. The music is a kind of “Jackie Light” with Cosgrave, less opulent, the lyrics more concrete and in part political rather than poetic. The Bob Dylan anecdote for “Moscow Train” is retold. Overall tone: friendly, slightly amused that Leven is pictured on the cover.
