The German-language CD review in FolkWorld no. 31 consists of only a few sentences. It covers Sir Vincent Lone's Songs for Lonely Americans (Normal Records, RTS 46, 2004, running time 37:26). The “Scottish folkie” Jackie Leven slips into the role of Sir Vincent Lone “to record songs of a different kind for once”.

The reviewer describes the music as served up “electronic pop but minimalist”, with a few lovely melodies and “such sparkling titles” as “War Crimes of Ariel Sharon” and “Balamory Death Chant”. The closing line says that Jackie Leven has “always been a life and soul of the party” (in German, ironically, a “Stimmungskanone”). In Germany the record is distributed by Normal Records and available from Glitterhouse. The tone is friendly and brief.

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.

Elektronisch poppig, aber minimalistisch serviert er uns ein paar schöne Melodien mit so prickelnden Titeln wie "War Crimes of Ariel Sharon" und "Balamory Death Chant".
