Benevolent review: the little-known Scot presents his 18th album; the poetry lover writes darkly, simply and strikingly about love and misery, musically somewhere between folk, country and blues. Deliberate arrangements support text and melody; “a record that grows”. A box (“Nesten drept, fant kur”) summarises the familiar story: near-strangling in London in the early 80s, a year without a voice, heroin, a self-developed withdrawal cure (acupuncture, healing, reflexology), and from it The Core Trust; Princess Diana was among the supporters; Leven is active in the Men's Movement.

Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
