Positive short review: The Argyll Cycle is conceived as a two-record set, all songs written in Scotland, where Leven lived 1985–90 after his heroin period; some pieces have already been released. The twelve tracks are throughout brilliant songs by a professional, built on acoustic guitar and seasoned with band, saxophone, violin, mandolin, pedal steel and keyboards, with wistful melodies. Conclusion: another beautiful record by a songwriter who deserves his breakthrough.
Summary in our own words; for the exact wording see the original.
Dette er nok en vakker plate fra en låtskriver som stadig fortjener sitt gjennombrudd.
