Single review Jackie Leven: Uptown (Charisma/Virgin JACK 2(12))

Music Week short review of the “ex-Doll-By-Doll singer's” second solo single: a big, rousing sound, emotional vocals and acoustic guitar building to a loud chorus with full choir and brass; thanks to Geoff Emerick's big production, the single should get plenty of airplay. On p. 12 “Uptown” appears in the list of titles “bubbling” just below the airplay chart.
