Collected finds, Spanish press 1975–1999: John St. Field – mentions, TVE test-card music, collector's advert

Small finds without substance of their own on the Spanish presence of "Control" and John St. Field. The BNE pages after 1940 are locked for copyright reasons (only search snippets can be read). 1975 – named among rock visitors. ¡Hola! (Barcelona), 2 August 1975, p. 58: a page of new records. A note lists rock artists whom someone had "brought to Spain in a short time": Stomu Yamashta, John St. Field, Nektar, Focus, Status Quo, Leo Sayer, Rory Gallagher, Electric Light Orchestra, Kursaal Flyers. Who is meant (record company or promoter), and whether "brought" refers to concerts or releases, cannot be told from the snippets. 1976/77 – "Control" as test-card music on Spanish television (TVE, Primera Cadena). In the TV listings of many newspapers, "John St. Field" appears under the "Carta de ajuste" (the test card before broadcasting begins).
